She zips back to the podium, and I dont even have time to wish for Gales safety when shes reading the name. PETA Mallard. Peg 25 3. Hammiest is whisked away on a stretcher, and Effie Trinket is trying to get the ball rolling again. 4. It didnt occur to me until the next morning that the boy might have burned the bread on purpose. Might have dropped the loaves into the flames, knowing it meant being punished, and then delivered them to me. Peg 31 Thematic Questions: Effie Trinket is a character that really bothers me, she stands at her podium and is actually excited to send two children to their death in the Hunger Games. I cant picture how anyone can enjoy participating in that kind of event or believe in the ideals of their terrible society. Chapter 3 Characters: Catkins , Prim, PETA,Effie Trinket, Hammiest, Pietas Father, Catkins Mother, Gale, Image Setting: The Country Panes, The District 12 Justice Building, Bullet Train Describes The friends and family say their goodbyes to Catkins and PETA, who are then escorted to a bullet train where they meet their advisor Hammiest and begin their journey to the Hunger Games. 1. My mother sits beside me and wraps her arms around us. For a few minutes, we say nothing. Peg 34 2. The baker sits awkwardly on the edge of one of the plush chairs. Chapter 4 Characters: Catkins, PETA, Hammiest, Effie Trinket Setting: The Country Panes, The bullet train, The capital tells Catkins decides that PETA cannot be trusted and they later meet with Hammiest about advice for the games, 1. Which also means the kind of PETA Mallard, the boy who gave me the bread, is fighting hard to kill me 60 2, all right, Ill make a deal with you. The dyspepsia message in this chapter is not completely apparent. Domestic Violence Essay ConclusionShes the twelve-year-old, the one who reminded me so of prim in stature. Up close he looks about ten. Peg 98 2. In District 12, we call them the Career Tributes, or just the Careers. And like as not, the winner will be one of them. Peg 94 3_ Like me, shes clever with plants, climbs swiftly, and has good aim. She can hit the target every time faith a slingshot. But what is a slingshot against a 220-pound male with a sword? Peg 99 4. Without thinking, pull an arrow from my quiver and send it straight at the Kingmakers table. I hear shouts Of alarm as people stumble back. The arrow skewers the apple in the pigs mouth and pins it to the wall behind it. Everyone stares at me in disbelief. Peg 102 think a lot of the readers were baffled when they read that the one of the tributes was a small 12 year old girl who in comparison to the career tributes stands no chance of surviving. This whole concept that the capital is able to rationalize these games at the basic level baffles me, but letting a 12 year old participate is almost demonic. Chapter 8 Characters: Catkins, PETA, Effie, Hammiest, China Setting: The Country Panes, The district loft and the woods of District 12 tells Catkins and PETA get to view their training scores and Catkins also tells us how she became friends with Gale. Pacts: 1. District 12 comes up last, as usual. PETA pulls an eight so at least a couple of the Carmakers must have been watching him. I had been struggling along on my own for about six months when first ran into Gale in the woods. Peg 109 3. I jumped back several feet as Gale materialized from behind a tree. Peg 110 4. Hammiest claims that Catkins only got a high score for her high temper. Thematic This chapter does not blatantly display a major dyspepsia aspect of their world UT, I would have to say any world where children have to hunt in the woods in order to survive because an oppre ssive government causes food shortages to occur is no perfect world. Identity Chapter 9 Characters: Catkins, PETA, Hayrick, Effie, China, Caesar Setting: The Country Panes, City Circle Catkins is prepared for a big interview with Caesar which goes fantastically and where PETA admits that he has a crush on Catkins. 1.
